Nowadays Locri reveals some great historic and cultural pieces from the tradition. Important ruins of the 8th century b.C are left by the ancient Greek colony ‘Locri Epizephyri’. Actually you can see the archeological area from the Aspromonte hill-sides till the sea, over 230 acres. Inside of this area is the antiquarium, beside it there’s the Marasà land. There you’ll find the ruins of the most monumental temple of the town built around 480 b. C. and the Theatre, typical Greek model, rebuilt in the roman time; close to it is the Persephone’s sanctuary of the 5th century b. C.
